South End Art Hop: September 9-11, 2016

The South End Arts & Business Association is pleased to present the 24th Annual South End Art Hop! The Art Hop brings thousands of residents, visitors, and the community together to celebrate the dynamic art and culture of Burlington, and create positive economic impacts in the South End. It has gained a reputation as being Vermont’s largest and best arts festival, and won a Seven Daysie as the Best Event/Festival. Last year over 30,000 visitors were able to experience and enjoy art exhibits, music, performance, comedy, sculpture, and fashion from over 500 participating artists at over 100 locations throughout Burlington’s South End Arts District.

Art Hop Street Closure – A portion of Pine Street will be closed to vehicle traffic on Friday, September 9th from 5-10pm! The north side of Howard to the south side of Marble Ave will be blocked off for the ‘Hopalong’…a street event featuring community art projects, music & food.

Parking – Best spots to park this year are at 180-208 Flynn Avenue, Lake Champlain Chocolates, The Innovation Center on Lakeside, or the Burlington Town Center.

Friday Night Transportation – CCTA buses will be running until 6:30pm, please check their schedule. Ride STA buses will be shuttling people from 180-208 Flynn Avenue to Howard Street all night long!

Bike Valet Parking – Local Motion will be providing bike valet parking next to the Maltex Building once again this year, until 11:30 pm on Friday. No service on Saturday.

Extras Extras! – Port O’lets will be available behind the Maltex Building. We have over 25 food trucks throughout the South End to feed ya. ATM is available at Art Hop Headquarters (404 Pine). Our volunteers will be all over the south end providing info, program guides, and helping visitors find galleries & stores.
