  • “TOP OF THE HOP” Opening Party
    Burton Headquarters & Flagship Store, 80 Industrial Parkway

    5-8pm Start your Art Hop at the official first stop as Burton presents ‘Top of the Hop’ featuring free parking, beer, music and an employee art exhibit, Tossed & Found, showcasing works made from recycled and repurposed materials.
  • BCA Presents Wood Burning Kiln At Pine Street Studios, located at 339 Pine Street.  5-10 p.m. Beginning in the early morning and ending at approximately 9pm, BCA will present a demonstration of firing pottery in a wood burning kiln. Wood firing is a traditional firing method that in present day, due to a range of factors, is inaccessible to most potters. BCA Clay Studio Technician Chris Vaughn and Josh Quinlan from Clay Construction and Shelburne Pond Studios will operate the 20 foot high kiln.
  • Tango Wise will be performing on Friday evening from 7-9 at the South End Studio.  696 Pine Street (at back of building).  Watch the Burlington tango community in action and learn a few steps if you wish.  Argentine Tango is fancy walking, a danced conversation, collaborative 3-D art.  No partner or experience required. Gallery8-9pm Back by popular demand, The Kate Bush Wuthering Heights Dance Marathon invites you to participate in a live group performance of Kate Bush’s 1978 Wuthering Heights music video. The video will be projected larger than life on an outdoor screen and repeated continuously for 1 hour while we all dance along. None of us know the moves, but we will learn by mimicking Kate, and after the 13th go-round, we’re bound to improve. Join us! Red costumes will be provided. Everyone welcome.

    The Reference for Radicals project is a partnership between the Peace & Justice Center, independent activists, and local artists. The twelve collaborating artists use their various mediums to tell the story of a Radical idea or word that is closest to their hearts. The art pieces created for this project are expressions of the personal stories, beliefs, and ideas of the artists.
