SEABA would like to welcome The Northern Vermont Artist Association (NVAA) to VCAM/RETN starting in December. The Northern Vermont Artist Association was founded in 1931 by Harold Sykes Knight and a group of his fellow Burlington VT artists. Their very first show was at the Ethan Allen Club, and from 1932 through 1972 they held an annual juried show at the Fleming Museum at UVM. The NVAA counted among its first members the famous American illustrator Maxfield Parrish. Throughout its 87 year history it’s roster has included such noted artists as Francis Colburn, Roy Kennedy, Stan Marc Wright, Ruth Mould and Robert Waldo Brunelle JR, among many others. The NVAA is open to all visual artists, both amateur and professional, who live in the northern half of Vermont. Our annual dues of $15 allow members to participate in all of our shows, including our famous June Show at the Visions of Vermont Gallery in Jeffersonville.
