Death by Chocolate with Thea Lewis

Who was UVM’s deadliest student? Where did the White Lady make her home? What caused The Hermit of Champlain to be so retiring? Why do troublesome ghosts linger inside the former property of Vermont’s most famous smuggler? We discovered the answers to these stories and more at Death by Chocolate - stories by Vermont’s Queen of Halloween, Thea Lewis.

This spooky soiree included South End treats! Each ticket included one Switchback beer (for those 21 and older only) paired with three types of chocolates from Lake Champlain Chocolates.

Thea Lewis is a Vermont native, and the creator of Queen City Ghostwalk- the event chosen “Best Scary Stroll” by Yankee Magazine. Called Vermont’s Queen of Halloween, she’s been scaring up history in Burlington and beyond for 2 decades, with her tours, special events and books for adults and children. Her books with The History Press include Haunted Burlington: Spirits of Vermont’s Queen City, Ghosts and Legends of Lake Champlain, Haunted Inns and Ghostly Getaways of Vermont and Wicked Vermont. Her new book of Vermont true crime stories is scheduled to be published by The History Press/Arcadia in 2023.
