‘Beyond Measure’ at the SEABA Gallery June 6-27th
Carleen Zimbalatti’s fourth curatorial project, the exhibition Beyond Measure, initiates a dialog with artists who engage in and apply strong structural rudiments to [in] form their working process. The exhibition is a platform highlighting the underlying strategies geometry plays in each of artist’s formative explorations and provides an intriguing bridge between present-day art making and the point at which the artists converge and diverge from one another. Art work by the following artists:
Rob de Oude

Kyle ‘Fattie B’ Thompson & Stephanie Larsen
SEABA welcomes Vermont-raised siblings Kyle Thompson and Stephanie Larsen to showcase their work for the month of May in the SEABA Gallery.
Thompson is a popular Burlington artist and DJ (under the pseudonym ‘Fattie B.’). Inspired by pop culture artists Andy Warhol and Keith Haring, Thompson’s prints depict iconic area images that explode off the page in bold hues and unexpected color schemes.
Larsen is an area folk artist whose chosen medium is reverse acrylic painting on reclaimed wood-framed windows. Her images of Vermont are represented in bright, whimsical designs inspired by Larsen’s time spent in Eastern Europe.
Opening reception is Friday, May 2nd 5-8pm, as part of Burlington’s First Friday Art Walk. Check out artwork from Sibling Rivalry at our event page on Facebook!
SEABA hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
