An exhibit of new paintings by Katharine Montstream featuring the Streets of Paris & the French countryside which she visited this past spring. Presented by SEABA.
L’art de Paris opens October 1-31, 2012 at The SEABA Center, 404 Pine Street, Burlington Vermont. An opening reception will be held on Friday, Oct 5, 5:00-8:00. Hors d’oeuvres and beverages provided.
“As much as I am a reluctant traveler, Paris was an extraordinary eye opener for me as a landscape painter. The city is so steeped in history, art and exquisite detail, it was beyond anything I could have imagined. As one who loves the chaos of the Vermont landscape, painting in Paris offered me an enormous challenge. The architecture, gardens set in perfect rows and meticulously pruned greenery inspired this new body of work.”
Gallery hours: Mon-Fri 9-5. Saturday’s 11-3. Visit www.kmmstudio.com & www.seaba.com for more information.
